Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel superstar Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. She began singing in a choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark as a young child and by the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. She continued to offer back vocals to Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother and worked briefly as models for the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Beginning in 1981, she started working as a singer with New York's funk band Material. Her quality vocal performance of this group that attracted notice of major record label such as Arista. The year 1985 saw the debut of Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album ever. Singles such as The Greatest Love of All, How Will I Know If You Give Good Love or Save the Day and All My Love were all released on the album. These songs allowed Houston to reach 7 US top tens, which surpassed even the top tens of The Beatles. In its debut US year, the album was has sold in excess of 3 million units. Then it went on to be purchased by 25 million people worldwide which earned her the first Grammy. Whitney 1987 Whitney 1987 release, which included Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as hits, helped build upon the success she had achieved. However, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard sealed her spot as one of the most successful musicians ever. Although the film and the actor's performance weren't much praised, her soundtrack album that featured her interpretation of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the top-selling album and single for a number of months. It sold more than 44 million copies around the world. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a ex- New Edition singer. She had their only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown together on March 23, 1993. Around this time her use of drugs was documented, and she started using it daily by 1996.
Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman and political reporter for CNN. The anchor has also created several of the network's Saturday shows like the Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels, such as NBC as well as CBS. Bash's awards and recognitions include being named to the Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. A lot of young journalists praise her for having incredible reporting/anchoring capabilities. She is a George Washington University grad is an incredibly loving mother of her only child. She was twice married and is currently not. Bash is an independent, tough woman. She is a fan of her followers.
