April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. The American will play in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic medal along with Alix Klineman, a first time Olympian. Ross's objective is her first Olympic gold medal. Even though Ross and Klineman are in the spotlight since the year 2017, Klineman was already an established participant on the beaches long before their pairing. It's true that she has been an active player on the beach over the years. Ross actually has won numerous tournaments, one of which was one with a famous volleyball legend. In 2007 through 2013, she was partnered by Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Kessy and Ross were extremely successful on the international circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 together. They took home a Silver medal from the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor won gold, beating them to it. Ross is Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's exit. In 2016, the pair received bronze medals in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. In high school and the several years prior to hitting the beach as a professional Ross played for the USC Trojans as an NCAA. The USC experience was awe-inspiring. It was her time to be an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans reach the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she suffered a tremendous personal tragedy, yet managed to be a second All-American. After two more seasons as a member of the Trojans the team, she played a key role in helping to win two consecutive titles. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross graduated with a degree in the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter rise to the top in beach volleyball. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001 when Ross was still an USC sophomore. It was discovered that she had breast cancer. She holds her mom dear. And Margie continues to be an energy for her on the shore and in her daily her daily life.
